Use the search bar or browse by category. Instant search shows results as you type. Use our detailed filters to narrow by District (all 25 available), price range, condition (New/Used/Reconditioned), brand, and model.
Use the Compare Tool
Found multiple options? Add them to the Compare tool to view specifications, prices, locations, and seller details side-by-side. This is especially useful for vehicle and electronics purchases.
Review the Listing Carefully
Read the full description word-for-word. Check all photos (front, back, details), note the condition stated, verify the listed district matches the seller's location, and check the seller's join date and badges.
Look for Verified Badges
Prioritize listings from Verified Sellers (Green checkmark) and Official Dealers (Orange badge). These sellers have passed strict identity checks.
Chat with the Seller
Click "Chat Now" to send a direct message via iGo's secure in-app chat. Ask for extra photos, inquire about any hidden defects, negotiate the price, or request a phone number for a direct call.
Arrange a Safe Meetup
Agree on a time and place to meet. Always choose a busy, well-lit public location — major shopping malls, bank branches, or directly outside a police station.
Inspect Before You Pay
Test electronics thoroughly (cameras, charging ports, speakers). Check vehicle documents (CR book matching chassis numbers). Never hand over money before a complete inspection.
Leave a Report (If Needed)
If the item was fake, the seller requested advance payment, or it was a scam, use the "Report Abuse" button immediately to protect the community.

Don't lowball aggressively
Sellers are more likely to respond positively to fair, reasonable offers. Start slightly below your target price.
Ask about the "Reason for Selling"
This simple question often reveals hidden issues or tells you how motivated the seller is.
Beware of "Urgent Sales"
If someone is rushing you, claiming they are leaving the country tomorrow, it is very often a scam.

Create & Verify Your Account
Sign up with your email or phone number. We strongly recommend verifying your mobile number and applying to become a Verified Seller or Official Dealer. Verified accounts get significantly more views.
Click "+ Post Ads"
Click the red button in the top navigation bar. Choose the most accurate category for your item (e.g. Vehicles > Cars, or Electronics > Mobile Phones). Wrong categories lead to instant rejection.
Take Great Photos
Snap clear, well-lit real photos of your item — never use Google/stock images. Show front, back, sides, and any defects honestly. Upload at least 4 photos for the best results.
Write a Magnetic Title
Use a clear, descriptive title. "Apple iPhone 13 Pro 128GB - Excellent Condition" is much better than just "Phone for sale". Do not use all caps.
Fill In All Specifications
Complete every dropdown specification field (brand, model, condition, colour, year, mileage). Buyers frequently filter by these specs. If you leave them blank, your ad won't appear in filtered searches.
Set a Competitive Price
Research similar items on iGo and set a fair LKR price. Placeholder prices like LKR 1 or LKR 1234 are strictly prohibited and will be deleted by moderators.
Select Your Exact District
Choose the district and city where the item is physically located. Buyers often want to meet locally, so accuracy here is vital.
Respond Fast to Chats
Once your ad goes live, keep an eye on your iGo messages. Buyers typically message 3-4 sellers at once; the one who replies first usually gets the sale.
Writing a Flawless Description
A great description stops buyers from asking repetitive questions.
- • State the exact condition (e.g. used for 6 months, minor scratch on back)
- • Include the year of purchase and any remaining warranty
- • List all accessories included (chargers, original box, manuals)
- • Disclose all faults upfront — honesty builds massive trust
- • Add your preferred meetup locations (e.g. "Can meet in Bambalapitiya or Kollupitiya")
- • Clearly state if the price is "Fixed" or "Negotiable"
Photography Guide
Ads with high-quality real photos sell 3x faster on average.
- • Clean the item thoroughly before taking photos
- • Use natural daylight (shoot near a window or outside)
- • Avoid dark, blurry, or heavily filtered shots
- • Use a plain, uncluttered background (like a clean table or wall)
- • For vehicles, include interior, exterior, engine bay, and dashboard shots
- • Never upload screenshots or catalog images

Instant Rejection Reasons (The Rules)
If you do any of the following, your ad will be deleted and your account may be suspended.
- × Posting prohibited items (weapons, drugs, adult services, fake tickets).
- × Posting fake or placeholder prices (e.g., LKR 1, LKR 1234, LKR 9999).
- × Using photos downloaded from Google, manufacturer sites, or other sellers.
- × Posting the exact same item multiple times (Duplicate Spam).
- × Including phone numbers directly in the title or photos (to bypass security).
- × Selling counterfeit/fake branded clothing or electronics.
What happens if my ad is rejected?
You will receive an email notification explaining the exact reason for the rejection. In most cases (like a wrong category or bad photo), you can simply edit the ad to fix the issue and click 'Submit' again for a fresh review.
